Distant light

Year: 2019 For: Solo Violin Duration: ca. 5′

Distant Light explores the process of deep self-reflection and personal transformation. It unfolds as an inner monologue between two opposing selves: one driven by fear of change, the other by the desire to embrace it.

The work begins with fragile, transparent musical gestures that gradually evolve into a turbulent stream of contrasting thoughts. As this inner conflict subsides, earlier ideas return transformed, leading toward a brighter and more hopeful musical landscape. The title Distant Light symbolizes the emergence of a renewed self—lighter, more vibrant, and ultimately transformed.
