Alla Ta Vradia is a composition for mixed choir (SATB) based on the poem Alla Ta Vradia (But in the Evenings) by the Greek poet Tasos Livaditis.
The poem reflects on the importance of continuing to dream and struggle for a more just world, even in times of hardship. It reminds us that hope should never fade, and that music, art, and culture sustain human dignity, compassion, and life itself. Although the poem may initially appear pessimistic, it ultimately radiates optimism. No matter what happens, “the earth smells beautiful at night.” And perhaps then, as Livaditis writes, “we will give our hands,” embracing the enduring values of solidarity and love.
